05 / Hands-On Work

AI where it helps. Hands where it matters.

Real projects, planned and done by hand. The same blueprint mindset, applied to work you can stand back and see. Not licensed or bonded. Referral only, built on trust.

The Work

One project. Start to finish.

A composite deck step and railing rebuild. Trim finished, post caps set, low-voltage lighting wired in, and the site cleaned up before anyone else saw it. What follows is before and after, no staging.

Before / After

Deck step and railing, finished.

Before: unfinished composite deck step with loose railing hardware and bare wood riser

Before

After: finished composite deck step with matching skirt board and set post caps

After

The threshold step at the back door. Hardware and trim still loose, bare wood riser exposed, left, versus set, trimmed, and finished flush with the deck, right.

Before: post base hardware and cut aluminum rail pieces staged on the stoop

Before

After: finished deck, railing, and stairs with furniture staged

After

Same corner, pulled back. Parts and hardware staged on the stoop, left, versus the finished deck and railing ready for furniture, right.

Before: lower deck step with exposed low-voltage wiring and unfinished riser edge

Before

After: finished post skirt and trim detail at the door threshold

After

The lower step and post base. Wiring and rough trim exposed, left, versus the finished skirt and post detail, right.
